Q. What is the Meyer Cast Iron tawa used for?
You can use it to prepare your staple items such as roti, chapati, paratha, dosa, phulka, naan, chilla, pita, and pesarattu. It can also be used to cook cutlets, eggs, french toasts, sandwiches and pancakes.
Q: What is it made of/What type of material has been used?
A: Cast Iron.
Q: Is it safe and hygienic?
A: It is completely toxin free. This cast iron product doesn’t have any chemical or synthetic coating, therefore, is completely safe to use. If seasoned properly and regularly, the cast iron tawa will develop a patina/layer and will perform like a non-stick cookware.
Q. Is it preseasoned?
A. Yes. It has been pre-seasoned with 100% pure vegetable oil. However, you are recommended to season it before using it.
Q: What are the handles made of?
A: Cast Iron.
Q: Do the handles heat up?
A: Yes. You get a cotton-canvas handle sleeve with it.

A: The pure iron ore material heats quickly and evenly throughout the tawa body.
Q: Does it corrode or rust?
A: If you season it well and never leave moisture on the cast iron cookware (always wipe it and store in a dry place), you can easily prevent rusting and get a smoother almost non-stick surface which lasts you longer.
Q: How easy it is to clean the Cast Iron tawa?
A: Wash cast iron by hand with a soft scrub. If needed, use a pan scraper if the food is stuck on the tawa. If you are not able to clean food with soft scrub, you may use baking soda or vinegar and little water; put the pan on heat for a couple of minutes then use the scraper/scrubber to remove the food. Ensure that it is wiped properly and stored in a dry place. When you want to use the pan again please repeat the process of seasoning.
Q: How to season a cast iron cookware?
A: Heat up the tawa on high flame, rub any oil available in your kitchen on its surface using a kitchen towel. Keep heating the pan until it reaches its smoking point. Repeat the process for about 15-20 minutes for the first few uses. Over a period of time the tawa will develop its own patina and will become stick-resistant. Do not wash using a scouring/abrasive scrub as this will break down the coating and the entire process will be required to be repeated again. Store in a dry place to prevent the pan from rusting.

A: Yes. It is suitable for all cook tops including induction.

A. You can store upto 170ml / 5.75oz liquid. However, you are recommended to fill it till 110 ml for easy pumping.

A. Yes. You need to pump the cap 10 to 15 times or until you feel resistance that indicates that sufficient air pressure exists to deliver an even spray.

A. You can use any kind of liquid. However, it is advised to not use this for semi-fluid or solidified ingredients (during winters coconut oil gets solidified).
Q. Does it come with any warranty?

A. Yes. You can use it to mix and match more than one ingredients provided they are liquids.
