Fruit Cake

Chef Varun teaches a simple and easy way to make a Christmas special fruit cake with basic ingredients. The cake can be store for upto a month and is made without any rum or alcohol.

Preparation Time - 15 mins

Cooking time - 45 mins 


Butter - 100 gms 

Caster sugar  - 1/2 Cup 

Eggs  - 3

Tutti fruiti  - 2 tbsp 

Raisins  - 1 tbsp 

Chopped almonds -1 tbsp 

Chopped cashews  -1 tbsp 

Refined flour- 115 gms

Baking powder  -1 tbsp 

Milk - 50 ml

Vanilla extract -1 tbsp 


1) In a mixing bowl , start whisking butter and sugar and cream it till its mixed, soft and light 
2) Add in the eggs one by one and keep whisking
3) Next, add in all the toppings and mix it using a spatula 
4) Add in the baking powder, milk and refined flour, vanilla and combine it all using a spatula and pour the batter in a loaf Tin and bake at 180 degrees for 45 mins
