What is Onion Laccha Paratha?
A layered Indian flatbread where a stuffed roti is cut into strips, rolled into a spiral, and cooked till crispy—giving it those signature flaky layers.
Main Ingredients:
- Atta (whole wheat flour) – 2 cups
- Onion – 1 (thinly sliced)
- Paneer – ½ cup (grated)
- Green chillies – 1–2
- Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Ghee – for cooking
How to make Onion Laccha Paratha

Knead atta with water into a soft dough and let it rest for 15–20 minutes.

In a bowl, mix sliced onion, grated paneer, green chillies, coriander, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and salt.

Roll the dough into a thin roti. Spread the filling evenly. Cut into thin strips.

Stack and roll the strips into a spiral (like a wheel). Flatten gently and roll out again.

Cook on a hot tawa with ghee till golden, crispy, and cooked through.
