Meyer Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Flat Dosa Tawa

Quick and Easy 4 Flavour Dosa:

Spread dosa batter in a large circle. Add one filling to each quarter—podi, paneer, chutney, and cheese with onions. Fold each side into a neat triangle and cook until golden and crisp. No extra tools needed—just your tawa and a little ghee!

How to Make 4 Flavour Dosa:

Ingredients:

  • Dosa batter – as required

  • Podi masala – 1 tbsp

  • Crumbled paneer – ½ cup (mixed with salt & chopped coriander)

  • Coconut chutney – 1 tbsp

  • Onions – ¼ cup, thinly sliced

  • Cheese – as desired (mozzarella or processed)

  • Ghee – for cooking

Steps:

  1. Heat a non-stick tawa or cast iron pan and grease lightly with ghee.

  2. Pour a ladleful of dosa batter and spread into a large circle.

  3. Cook on medium heat until the bottom begins to set.

  4. Lower the flame slightly and add:

    • Podi masala to one quarter

    • Paneer filling to the next

    • Coconut chutney in the third

    • Onions + grated cheese in the last

  5. Add a little ghee around the edges and on top of each section.

  6. Once the dosa is nearly cooked and crisp, make two cuts to form quarters and fold each quarter into the next (as shown in the video).

  7. Cook the folded triangle for another minute to crisp all sides.

  8. Serve hot with chutneys or sambhar.

Expert Tips:

  • Use slightly thick dosa batter for better structure.

  • Don’t overload each section—keep fillings balanced.

  • You can swap chutneys or fillings based on taste (e.g., tomato chutney, mushroom masala, etc.).

  • Make sure your tawa is evenly hot for best crisping.
