Tawa naan bombs


RECIPE:


For dough:

1. 1 1/2 Cup All purpose Flour 
2. 1 Tsp salt
3. 1 1/2 Tsp of baking powder 
4. 1 Tbsp cooking oil 
5. 2 Tbsp yoghurt 
6. Water for kneading 

 

For Filling:

1. 2-3 medium size boiled potatoes 
2. 3 tsp Tandoori masala 
3. 2-3 chopped green chilies 
4. 1/3 cup mozzarella cheese 
5. 1/4 processed cheese 
6. 3-4 finely chopped garlic 
7. Finely chopped coriander 

 

Kalonji/Nigella seeds and coriander leaves for garnish.

 

For the dough - 
Mix everything together and knead for 7-9 minutes or until a smooth ball forms. 
Rest the dough for 1 hour and then divide into equal portions. 
Roll the portions to your desired size and fill with the filling. 

For the filling - 
Mix everything together in a bowl with the Mashed potatoes.
Taste the filling for seasoning before stuffing into the dough.

For cooking - 
Heat a cast iron or steel tawa until very hot. You can check the temperature by sprinkling some water on the hot tawa. 

Apply some water on the bottom of the Naan Bombs and place the stuffed naan bombs on the tawa. ( they should stick instantly) 

Cook for 8-10 minutes flipping the pan upside down occasionally to cook evenly from all sides. 

 


 

Finish them with some Ghee and enjoy ✨
