How to make Kit Kat, Chia Seed and Salted Caramel Cake ?

1) Crack 3 eggs in a bowl, add caster sugar into it and whisk them together till they are completely combined. Add turmeric powder and chia seeds to it, incorporate them as well.

2) Add refined flour and baking powder into the bowl and fold them in using a silicone spatula. Add in some milk and fold that in too.

3) In a nonstick loaf pan, add half the batter, place 8 sticks of kitkat evenly spaced out. Pour the second half of the batter over the chocolate and bake it in a preheated 180 degree oven for 25 minutes.

4) Demould the cake once it is baked and completely cooled. Spread some salted caramel sauce over the loaf cake. Garnish the cake with some balck raisins and chia seeds and slice into it.

Expert Tips

  1. Mix the eggs and sugar thoroughly before adding the next ingredient.
  2. Do not overmix the flour into the batter or it might turn out dense.
  3. Do not overdo the chocolate sticks or they might sink in the batter.
