What is a Chocolate Chip Cookie?
A Chocolate Chip Cookie is a butter and sugar cookie dough with flour and pieces of chocolate, baked together to form a swett and decadent confection. An American chef named Ruth Graves Wakefield developed the recipe by adding Nestle's semi-sweet chocolate chunks to a cookie recipe. The basic recipe for every chocolate chip cookie includes butter, flour, sugar, eggs, vanilla and your favorite chocolate. Variations are made to this recipe by adding other ingredients like oatmeal and raisin or a different kind of chocolate. Even changing the ratios of the different sugars can hugely impact a cookie.
Quick and Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie
This dessert is suitable for literally any occasion, from gifting to having as it is at your home with a glass of milk. A chocolate chip cookie is something you can't go wrong with. However, this recipe is slightly different from others because instead of using chocolate chips, we chop up a dark chocolate bar and add that to the dough. Dark chocolate chunks result in a way better cookie as they form big pockets of melted chocolate in the cookie unlike chocolate chips that dissolve in the dough.

Expert Tips
1) Add the egg only after the butter mixture has cooled down a bit to avoid the egg from curdling
2) Do not chop the chocolate too thin, otherwise it may dissolve in the dough.
3) Make sure to space out the cookies enough because they spread a lot.
4) Do not pick up the cookies while they are hot, or they might fall apart.
