- Fettuccine pasta: 250 g
- Fresh cream: 1 cup
- Butter: ¼ cup
- Chopped garlic: 4 cloves
- Grated parmesan cheese: ½ cup
- Salt: to taste
- Pepper: to taste
Start by boiling water for the pasta and season it generously with some salt. Once the water boils, add the dry pasta into it and stir occasionally.
- While the pasta is boiling, prepare your sauce in a stainless steel chef's pan. Add heavy cream and butter to the pan and heat it on medium low. Add butter to the cream and mix them together. Once the butter and cream are combined, add the grated parmesan cheese in the pan as well.
- Once everything is combined inside the pan, season it with salt and pepper. Check on the pasta, if it is cooked, toss it into the pan with the sauce, with some pasta water.
- Mix the sauce and pasta till everything is evenly combined and the sauce is silky smooth. Serve the pasta in a plate hot, top it with some more grated parmesan and freshly ground black pepper.
You need to keep in mind while seasoning that the parmesan cheese is also quite salty, therefore the salt needs to only be added sparingly after appropriately tasting it. If you don't have parmesan cheese on hand, you can grate in whatever cheese that you have available.
