How to make Bread Rasmalai 

  1. Heat milk in a cast iron kadai till it is reduced to ⅓. Add granulated sugar to the milk and mix it completely. Mix in some kalakand, dry fruits, yellow food colouring and dried petals and set it aside.   
  2. To make the rasmalai, add bread slices in a large bowl, with some milk, sugar, melon seeds and a piece of milk cake. Mash and mix everything together. Finally add some desiccated coconut and knead it into a dough. 
  3. Divide the dough and shape them into a ras malai and set them into a shallow bowl. Pour over the prepared rabri and enjoy.  


Expert Tips

  1. Make sure to heat the milk on low heat or it will burn. 
  2. Stir the milk occasionally while heating it to avoid sticking.
  3. Adding desiccated coconut ensures there is a binding agent in the dough.
