How to make Methi Jholi Bhaat

  1. Let’s start by making a paste of green chili, garlic, ginger and soaked rice. Put all these ingredients in a blender and blend until a smooth paste is formed.
  2. Now let’s make the curd mixture. For this add the curd, coriander powder, turmeric and the red chili powder into a bowl and mix well together.
  3. To make the bhaat, take a pan and put ghee in it. Set it over medium heat and add the cumin seeds and dry red chilies.
  4. Once the cumin starts to pop, add the methi and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Now add the curd mixture to the pan and simmer for 10-12 minutes until  it is a little thick. Add water to adjust the consistency if the mixture becomes too thick.
  6. Finally serve along with a tadka of cumin seeds and dry red chili.
