Quick and Easy Garlic bread

As a chef, I can vouch for the quick and easy preparation of this delectable Garlic Bread. Roasting the garlic heads to perfection and combining them with room temperature butter creates a heavenly spread. The rich, garlicky aroma fills the kitchen as the bread bakes to golden perfection. This dish pairs beautifully with a variety of cuisines and is always a crowd-pleaser. I personally love serving it with pasta, soups, or as a delicious starter for a memorable dining experience.

How to make Garlic Bread

  1. Let's start making the garlic butter. For this we’ll take our whole garlic heads and chop them from the top so that all the cloves inside are visible.
  2. Place the cut garlic heads on a piece of aluminum foil and season them generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Now drizzle olive oil over the garlic head generously making sure that the oil seeps into the garlic cloves inside.
  4. Once done, wrap the garlic head in aluminum foil and place in a preheated oven at 160 C’ degree for 35-40 minutes.
  5. While the garlic is cooking, slice the baguette in half.
  6. Once the garlic is done, let it cool and squeeze out into a bowl with room temperature butter. 1 full garlic head is enough for 100 gms of butter.
  7. Mix the garlic and butter together and add pepper to them.
  8. Now smother the garlic butter generously on the bread and place into a preheated oven at 180 C’ for 10-12 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the butter is fully melted.
  9. Remove from the oven and garnish the bread with finely chopped parsley and cut into 1 inch sticks and serve.

  1. Use big garlic heads and cook them until they are brown and soft to get the best result.
  2. Use a good quality olive oil to get the best flavors.
  3. We recommend using bread with a good crust to get a nice and crispy final product.
  4. You can even add cheese to get a more decadent garlic bread but remember to put more garlic in the butter mixture to balance it with the addition of the cheese.
