How to make a Cast Iron pan pizza?

  1. Let's start by warming the beer in a sauce-pot over low heat. 
  2. Transfer it to a bowl and add the yeast. Mix in sugar, olive oil, and salt. Add flour and stir to combine with a spoon before switching to a soaking wet hand to finish squeezing and mixing the dough until it forms a cohesive ball. Cover and ferment at room temp for 15 min.
  3.  After the dough has rested, repeat the stretching and folding once again and let it rest for another 15 minutes. 
  4. Transfer dough into a well oiled  cast iron skillet. With oiled fingers, press dough out to fill the shape of the pan. 
  5. Now put the sauce, toppings and the cheese on the dough.
  6. Preheat an oven to 550 F/285 C and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Once done, remove the pizza from the cast iron skillet and cut into slices.

  1. Make sure to do the stretching and folding at least 2 times as this will result in a nice and chewy dough once baked.
