Keema Do Pyaza

Chef Varun Arora teaches his signature bhuna mutton keema do pyaza recipe which is perfect for cast iron skillets as you get that amazing bhuna charred flavour. Follow this recipe and try it for yourself.

Serves 2-3

Preparation Time - 15 mins

Cooking time - 20 mins 


Mutton keema  - 500gms 

Red chilli powder  - 2 tbsp 

Chopped garlic  - 3 tsp

Mustard oil - 1/4 cup 

Ginger julienne 

Chopped onion - 2

Slit green chilli - 3-4

Tomato puree - 1/2 cup

Meat masala  - 1 tbsp 

Coriander powder  - 2 tbsp 

Onion cubes - 1/2 cup

Tomato cubes - 2

Chilli flakes - 1 tbsp 

Garam masala - 1 tbsp 

Chopped coriander - Garnish 

Black pepper - 1 tbsp 


1)Marinated the mutton keema with chopped garlic, red chilli powder and some salt 
2)In a cast iron skillet heat the mustard oil and add in ginger juliennes and 1 tsp chopped garlic , slit green chilli and fry 
3)Add in tomato puree and all the powdered spices and cook them down
4)Add in the marinated keema and cook on high heat for 10 mins 
5)Add in cubed onions and tomatoes and cook for 5 mins
6)Garnish with chilli flakes, garam masala, chopped coriander and black pepper
