What is Tawa Chicken ?
Tawa chicken is essentially called that because of the utensil it is cooked on, i.e. a tawa. In this recipe, chicken thighs are seared on a stainless steel or cast iron tawa with some sliced onions. Over the chicken a sauce made with blended or chopped onions and tomatoes is added and thickened along with the chicken. This sauce and chicken are cooked together on a tawa with some fat, till the sauce thickens into a gravy
